2010 2nd QUARTER REPORT
OKLAHOMA STATE PRISON, McALESTER, OK
This Quarter we baptized 19 into Christ, 16 at OSP and 3 by our Jail Ministry. This year to date we have baptized 29 into Christ and have 9 more to put on Christ the 28th of July.
We have started Course IV: "True Freedom" and have books to pass out on 3 more runs. It appears that we will have over 400 in this class as. well. We are thankful to our Lord and Master for this opportunity, though we are still in lock down.
WILLIAM S. KEY CORRECTIONAL CENTER, OKLAHOMA STATE REFORMATORY, MINIMUM SECURITY UNIT AND NORTH FORK CORRECTIONAL FACILITY.
Larry Ware reports they are doing lots of work at OSR and MSU. They have had 13 Baptisms in April, 3 in May and 2 in June. We wish we could print names and addresses of the new convers, but we cannot. If you would like to send a card or letter of welcome to them, please contact Larry. July is busy also and they could use some more help. If anyone wants to get involved in a rewarding work, please contact Larry at larryeware@sbcglobal.net.
To those that are supporting this work, we offer our warmest heartfelt thanks.

Over the past eighteen months the Medium Security Prisons in Oklahoma have been on lock down or restricted movement status much of the time. Classes and worship services have been restricted to daytime scheduling only and again we have been under total lock down since the middle of November. Finally, the yard was opened up again this week and we have begun three weekly classes for the general population in the chapel. We will begin two classes in the faith based unit with a group of thirty-seven new student. We will be able to conduct Sunday worship services one Sunday each month until further notice.
At the JLD-MSR facility, normal scheduling continues. We are grateful for the opportunities that we do have. As I have said before when difficult times come, "this too shall pass". Sometimes it just takes a little longer. Bill Hamrick will be teaching two NLBN classes on Thursday afternoon, course I, "A Sense of Self" and course III, "Parenting Matters". Area congregations conduct a Sunday evening worship service each Sunday at the unit. To cope and keep on going, we have to keep in mind where we are. Rival groups present a constant challenge for security personnel. I guess gatting along with our fellow man is as old as Cain and Abel, right? Six medium security prisons in Oklahoma have been affected and have been on lock down and restricted status. It has been a constant recurring problem and inmate contact has been restricted, but we are doing what we can, and they know we are here. We closed out the year with twenty-nine men baptized into Christ. Since our last report, three men have been baptized. This number is down due to the lock down status, however the total for the year was above our annual average. The big news is that plans are shaping up for two worship and classroom facilities at Conner. One inside the fence at DCCC and a smaller building at JLD-MSU. This is going to happen this year! We are excited about the opportunities and possibilities this will open up to us.
It is uncertain as to when we will be able to have weekly Sunday night worship services again. PRAY FOR THE FOORS TO OPEN UP AND FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY TO RETURN.
JOHN LILLEY CORRECTIONAL CENTER
The NLBN classes at Boley under the leadership of Jim Pinkston are going great. Two classes are being conducted each Tuesday afternoon with 20+ students in each class. One man was baptized recently from the group.
Great things continue to happen even though there have been set backs and difficulties. Successes continue to happen.

EDDIE WARRIOR CORRECTIONAL CENTER 2009 REPORT
Our ministry at Eddie Warrior Correctional Center was blessed with over 120 baptisms in 2009. Our attendance for Sunday services, conducted on the third and fourth Sundays of each month, averaged over 70 inmates. The NLBN classes continue to enjoy great interest and participation. We just conducted worship services for the first time in January in a newly constructed chapel at EWCC. It was built entirely with private donations. The Fort Gibson church of Christ was one of the largest private donors to the project.
